About This Job
As an Account Specialist you will work directly with our Healthcare Providers that are managed by an Account Manager I, II or III. By providing quality day-to-day support to our Healthcare Providers, we enable Account Managers to become more strategic in nature and facilitate business partnerships with executive level individuals within our client organizations. Additionally, you will be a key team member in new client implementations by interacting with clients and supporting implementation Project Managers.
The primary responsibility of this role is to handle the daily support functions associated with proactive account service, relationship growth and retention of all payment types. Your focus will be to provide quality problem resolution, high level productivity, conducting client trainings, relationship building and customer satisfaction across a variety of payment platforms.
Successful Account Specialists have strong oral and written communication skills, is detail oriented, has a project management focus/approach, and stellar follow up skills. As an Account Specialist you must also maintain the ability to successfully prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment, while supporting a variety of Account Managers and their portfolios.
Essential Functions
- Process requests from internal and external clients to recourse accounts
- Assist Project Manager and facilitate training pertaining to the day-to-day processes
- Assist with ongoing client training and product navigation assistance
- Assist client with basic reconciliation needs
- Ensure external and all internal teams, including Commercial Bankers, Account Managers, and Implementation Project Managers are always aware of client activities, needs, trends and current project status
- Case tracking, validation, maintaining client notes, and uploading of proper documentation
- Review account activity, compile data and provide a summary of account details and supporting documentation
- Verify all client-initiated emails and accounts recourse for quality assurance
- Assist Account Managers in compiling data for client reviews and participate in those reviews
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Strong customer service skills
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 2 Years business to business or support experience required

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $22.35 to $30.00 per hour. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
