The Account Specialist works across the Health Plan Account Management organization to support both the Client Business Leaders (CBLs) and the Account Executives for their respective book of business. This role understands client contractual requirements and ensures the teams are implementing and servicing in accordance to the intent of the contract. This role provides support to the CBLs and AEs to execute against needed client requests and requirements. They share best practices to contribute to development of others and provide forward-thinking leadership designed to move the business forward and lead projects/corporate initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Facilitation/Coordination: Strong organizational skills to appropriately bring teams together to ensure all included client facing parties are working in accordance to contractual requirements. Facilitates meetings to ensure all aligned on organizational priorities. Advocates and uses relationship building to obtain support. Convinces others to take action.
  • Maximizes Results: Evaluates client needs holistically to create processes aimed at driving efficiency in creating and executing on client deliverables. Concentrates on finding avenues to help support teams in generating increased sales from established accounts.
  • Business Insight: Uses broad knowledge of multiple business areas and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals. Knows how the business works and how organization makes money. Keeps up with current and possible future policies, practices, innovations, and trends in the organization, with the competition, and in the marketplace. Conducts/Uses financial analysis to generate, evaluate, and partner with CBLS and AEs to act on strategic options and opportunities.
  • Communicates Effectively: Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Is effective in a variety of communication settings. Attentively listens to others and adjusts message as needed. Adjusts to fit the audience and the message. Provides timely and accurate information to others. Promotes customer relations by soliciting feedback both internally and externally. Proactively anticipates communication needs in order to remove ambiguity.

SCOPE OF JOB

  • Managing Client's Reports
  • Running report's in Analyst
  • Salesforce (Client Relationship Management) updates and entries
  • Submitting requests for contracting and execution of needed internal tasks with key stakeholders
  • Invoice/Admin Fee quality control and validation
  • Organizing and sending communications to clients as needed for account team support
  • Monitoring and reporting out on client performance guarantees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO ENTER THE JOB:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3- 5 years PBM experience or Master's degree with relevant industry experience
  • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Extensive project management skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Challenger sales training

Knowledge and Abilities:

Strong business and financial acumen; internal and external relationship building; proven ability to be highly organized, analytical and interpretive and demonstrate time management; ability to drive results through leveraging effective influence, leadership, negotiation and relationship skills; willingness to travel as needed to meet business needs.
