Job Description

The Account Technology Strategist (ATS) is the technology leader responsible for the technology strategy and technology architecture to drive digitalization and innovation agenda of Avanade's enterprise customers. With deep industry knowledge in the Public Services space, broad technology skills and unparalleled business acumen this role:

• Primarily focused on Account level Technology Strategy, architecture review, and technology road mapping
• Drives the technical-thought leadership and client engagement for large complex, enterprise clients
• Accountable for creating and executing a joint innovation plan with the client and driving solutions that bring together multiple Avanade Technology capabilities.
• Regularly collaborates with Avanade's Technology Advisory team, to provide a path for the client on the technology vision and strategy and Avanade's Experiences to realize leading customer and employee experiences for the client
• Supports technical aspects of delivery through knowledge of the business, data, application, and technical architectures in the context of the client's organization

The ATS will be aligned to one or more of our most significant clients in Midwest region.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day the ATS will:

Account Leadership and Key Alliances

• Help our clients develop and evolve their Technology vision and strategy
• Bridge Microsoft relationships for and with clients
• Act as the technical "go-to" person in the client, creating and cultivating long-term relationships with technical decision makers

Technology Leadership

• Drive quarterly Technology Roadmaps & Innovation activities aligned to relevant emerging tech & industry trends, creating measurable innovation outcomes
• Help the client understand the impact for emerging and strategic technologies and Inspire & Influence them for Microsoft technologies to become the main enabler of business innovation
• Demonstrate understanding and ownership of the client's Technology roadmap

Solutioning Leadership

• Based on the knowledge of a client's priorities and project portfolio, identify and drive project opportunities that extend, complement, or transform the client's business
• Proactively share knowledge of client/industry pain points/opportunities/tech stack
• Challenge ideas, bringing in client & competitor insights to improve proposed approaches and strategies
• Bring in experts/ambassadors, plus leveraging references & thought leadership in the Public Services domain
• Work closely with multiple Avanade capabilities for defining industry-relevant solutions that deliver the breadth of Avanade
• Maintain overall accountability for proposed solutions and project estimates withing the client
• Perform Technical Quality Assurance (QA) reviews for inflight delivery projects
• Provide in Architecture/Technical oversight for inflight projects

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 10+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience of which:
• 5+ years in an Enterprise Architect-like role, either consulting to organizations or on staff, with experience in architecting complex solutions for the cloud
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure (preferred), or other equivalent cloud platforms
• 5+ experiences with the capabilities of key Microsoft platforms, including Dynamics (e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Field Service) Microsoft 365 (eg. collaboration, knowledge management) and analytics, or other equivalent platforms
• 3+ years in the Public Services industry, with a knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and key players in the industry.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and tools, as well as creating and communicating Enterprise Capability Models
• Understanding of Emerging Technologies and ability to create technology roadmaps
• Experience navigating and leveraging an ecosystem of technology vendors and partners
• Nice to have: Certified Microsoft Azure Architect / TOGAF / Zachman Frameworks or equivalent
