Description
These positions will be responsible for participating in the monthly closing process for corporate accounting by preparing and/or approving journals timely and accurately. These positions will also provide income and balance sheet analysis information for monthly management reports and meetings. These positions will be responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly financial information and reports for various corporate accounting processes. Other duties include reconciling accounts, researching accounting issues, executing and testing internal controls, working with internal and external auditors, and maintaining appropriate documentation. These positions will be responsible for meeting established reporting deadlines.

Description

Job Experience and Education
- 4 Year college degree in Accounting required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred
- CPA or CPA Candidate preferred
- Knowledge of Accounting rules and regulations, including GAAP
- Ability to analyze and research accounting issues
- Knowledge of FERC Accounting preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously to meet established deadlines
- Exhibits a high degree of initiative and takes personal responsibility for assignments
- Ability to work under pressure
- Conscientious about work product and meeting deadlines
- Positive attitude, respects others and their opinions
- Comfortable making decisions based on knowledge and/or research obtained
