Accountant

Our Finance team has a fantastic opportunity for a commercial and dedicated Accountant to join our team! Reporting to our Financial Controller, this is an incredible opportunity to join a fast-growing ASX listed, eCommerce industry leader and support key financial objectives which influence the overall Company outcomes.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, half-year and year-end management accounts and statutory accounts
• Proactively looking for new and better ways of working to ensure efficiency
• Working collaboratively with the broader Finance team and internal stakeholders to achieve business outcomes
• Preparation of banking and general ledger reconciliations
• Preparing monthly BAS returns
• Examining financial records to ensure accuracy
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
• Managing Accounts Receivable, including working with certain customers on outstanding balances

To be successful in this role, you should be:

• University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business or similar)
• Either completing or have completed your CA/CPA qualification
• Demonstrated experience working within Finance / Accounting, preferably in a Retail / eCommerce / FMCG environment.
• Experience within an ASX listed business will be highly regarded
• Experience with SAP will be highly regarded
• Comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships, through exceptional communication and engagement
• An exceptional problem solver, using your strong attention to detail to maintain data entry and reconciliation accuracy
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Being agile and adaptable is key to success!
• A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we’re talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE - and we will test your capability).
• Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model.
