Position Overview:

As eJam expands, we are looking for an Accountant with primary responsibility for managing the financial close process. This role requires an experienced, highly organized, and friendly individual with experience in high-volume, fast-paced e-commerce environments. You will assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.

About the Role:

The Accountant is a key member of our finance team, responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of our financial close process. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our financial records are complete and compliant with GAAP standards, while also providing valuable insights to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Verify transactions are recorded correctly and maintain the general ledger to current GAAP standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing management with clear and actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and assist with tax form preparation, including corporate income tax and quarterly sales and use tax returns.
• Oversee accounts payable activities, including invoice management, timely payment processing, and wire transfers.
• Oversee accounts receivable activities, reconciling settlement reports from merchant processing revenue sources.
• Perform bank and credit card statement reconciliations.
• Conduct cost analysis and bill audits from key vendors.
• Process payroll promptly and make appropriate journal entries.
• Maintain historical records by filing documents and assisting with administrative projects as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced e-commerce environment.
• Excellent written, organizational, and verbal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace and switch gears with ease.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• NetSuite experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary:

$1,800 - $2,200 USD per month (based on experience)
