Neptune Medical is a leading medical device start-up in the San Francisco Bay area. The Company is supported by a consortium of some of the area’s most successful venture investors and is engaged in the development and clinical application of highly disruptive medical device technology that fundamentally change endoscopic/endovascular procedures. Located in Burlingame, CA, Neptune medical’s offices are conveniently located adjacent to SFO, BART, and Caltrain stations.Â
SUMMARY
As an Accountant at Neptune Medical, you will be working with a team that operates in a fast paced environment. You will have the opportunity to be part of the company’s growth, while further developing your skills in areas of accounting, auditing, taxes, cash management, financial reporting and controls. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year of work experience. We are looking for a driven, reliable and self-starting Accountant who works extremely well with others. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and will frequently interact with members of the team at different levels.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will require you to be a knowledgeable and resourceful member of the Accounting team to support the Controller /Director of Finance on all accounting affairs including:Â
• Play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the accounting function: A/R, A/P,
cash management, expense management, Sales and Use tax, and internal controls and
recordkeeping.
• Perform month-end close activities such as bank reconciliations and journal entries,
prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, fixed assets, etc.
• Manage vendor onboarding, invoice import, review and payment processes.
• Assist in maintaining overall accounting systems, procedures and policies.
• Be on the lookout for broken processes throughout the Accounting function and seek to
improve continuously by identifying opportunities for standardization and automation.
• Partake in ad hoc accounting or finance projects and analyses as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 1 year of work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
• Detail oriented, willing to learn and have can do attitude
• Ability to drive to solve complex problems every day
• Expert multitasker and self-prioritizer with strong time management and organization
skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to
communicate effectively both within the accounting department and cross-functionally
• Strives for excellence but solves for the bigger picture
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with any of the following systems: Netsuite, Bill.com , RAMP a plus
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $67,000 and $75,000 depending on experience. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, benefits and 401(K) with matching.
