Job Description
Apex.AI is seeking a part-time Accountant to join the Finance team of a dynamic, globally distributed organization. This person will assist in the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. This role will report to the company’s Head of Accounting.
This role is based in our Palo Alto office. Authorization to work in the United States is required.
What you’ll do:
- Process monthly German financials and prepare the journal entry to record in NetSuite
- Prepare and build balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Prepare monthly German balance sheet and income statement fluctuation for the review meeting and be able to explain the fluctuations
- Assist analysis in German Trade law reporting mapping to US GAAP
- Assist in various NetSuite system projects
- Assist in other ad-hoc reporting
You have:
- 3+ years of accounting and reporting or finance experience, including closing the monthly financial
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance or comparable degree or experience
- Ability to read, write, and fluently speak German (Telc C1 level or higher)
- Ability to research and explain financial fluctuations
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Microsoft 365 or Google Suite
- Accounting experience based on German tax and trade law
- Experience with the DATEV system internals
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Great to have:
- Knowledge of the NetSuite
- California CPA license is a plus
