Job Definition

Reporting to the Accounting Manager as well as the Finance Head, this position will be responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager in producing Doxim’s financial statements for Doxim Striata and related group entities as assigned, analyzing all financial reports, and implementing accounting methods & policies. We are looking for an experienced and focused individual with strong communication, technology, and analytical abilities to undertake all aspects of accounting and perform special projects as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Assist in updating and maintaining the supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts as requested.
• Support budget and forecasting activities.
• Respond to inquiries from the Finance Head, Accounting Manager, and other finance and organisation wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
• Work with the corporate finance team to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Support finance team with special projects and workflow process improvements.
• Overall accounting operations understanding
• Accounting system proficiency or willingness to adapt (or learn related systems)
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures & principles (GAAP & IFRS)

To succeed in this role, you:

• Have completed a University Finance Degree
• 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Have proven financial analytical skills and high attention to detail;
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains/ other accounting system
• Have a mindset for continuous improvement;
• Available for extended hours as needed to complete month end/year end tasks;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time constraints and collaborate seamlessly with others in the organization.
