Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in the month-end closing responsibilities including:
- Reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Posting of journal entries
- Prepare monthly reports
- Research and resolve any issues identified as a result of the month-end process
- Perform analytical review of financial results against the plan/forecast and report the results to management
- Timely prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting package
- Understand and utilize appropriate analytical methodologies, tools and systems to enhance analysis
- Identify areas for process improvement and standardization
- Prepare audit schedules for both internal and external auditors
- Ensure consistent compliance with internal controls, corporate accounting standards, GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting and participate in special projects as assigned
- Communicate with co-workers, management and company personnel in a courteous, timely and professional manner
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
- Ability to work and interact well with others
- Degree in Accounting required
- 0-2 years of experience in finance related field
- Must be able to work proficiently with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Must display an attention to detail at all times
Special Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time
- Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator, computer printer up to 90% of the time
- Frequently communicate and partner with employees in the office and at other international locations
