Accountant

Gorans Brothers is looking to fill a part-time position for an Accountant. Here at Gorans Brothers we value our employees and their needs because each and every employee is a vital part of our team. The Accounting Specialist position is primarily responsible for financial reporting, feed and corn inventory, and flock costing. The Accounting Specialist will report to the CFO. We are looking for highly motivated people who desire to work on a turkey farm that values excellent character and work ethic in the Willmar area.

Key Outcomes:

1. Statements and reports withing 10 days EOM
2. Cost accounting
3. End of year accounting activities

Job Responsibilities

• Produce timely, accurate, and useful financial statements
• Produce timely, accurate, and useful production reports
• Produce month Board packet report
• Be responsible for external financial reporting.
• Budget, track, and summarize operations and capital expenditures
• Perform cost accounting
• Perform and backup select accounting activities (small dept)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred
• Greater than three years of experience in accounting
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Experience with agriculture accounting and costing
• Experience with agriculture accounting software
• U.S. work authorization (Required)
