Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and assisting the Controller with period closing, preparing accurate financial reports, and audits. This role is critical in maintaining the financial health of our organization and supporting our growth.
Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, etc.
• Compliance: Stay updated on relevant changes in legislation and accounting standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets, financial projections, and business plans. Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits. Address any discrepancies or issues identified during the audit process.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the financial aspects of inventory management, including cost analysis, valuation, and reconciliation.
• Tax Preparation: Review sales tax filing reports in Avalara. Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, especially NetSuite, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
