Your Role at Baxter:

Responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the Finance organization. Enter monthly journal entries for selected activities into the general ledger system, reconcile accounts in a timely manner and assist various accounting and finance personnel. Enter intercompany activities from sister companies and ensure FX impacts are properly recorded. Handle internal customer inquiries. This role is primarily responsible for the US, Canada and Mexico but may be asked to assist other areas.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Update, verify and maintain accounting journal entries. Analyze assigned accruals for accuracy and prepare entries as necessary.
• Process Inter-company transactions and reconciliations
• Perform all assigned account, bank and other reconciliations and reconciliations to subledgers.
• Load monthly FX rates and Mexican rates into JDE
• Maintain, change and create new allocations in JDE
• Assist in month-end reporting procedures
• Prepare various schedules for tax, compliance and audit purposes, including state apportionment schedules, government surveys and unclaimed property submissions
• Maintain good working relationships with foreign and US colleagues to ensure a smooth and accurate close
• Research and reply to internal customers questions promptly.
• Ensure reports and schedules are prepared accurately and timely.
• Complete special projects as requested.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 1 plus years of experience in business environment. Preferred in Accounting
• Experience with General Ledger account reconciliations and intercompany processes
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and to effectively escalate or resolve issues to meet deadlines
• Experienced and comfortable with Microsoft Office programs and proficiency with accounting/financial software and general ledger packages. JDE and HFM experienced preferred.
• Team player with effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to define problems, identify solutions and follow through to completion
• Ability to perform effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
• Ability to work independently, self-starter & attention to detail
• Ability to deal complexity and ambiguity in an effective manner

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000 to $82,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
