Accountant
Job Description
This role will offer hybrid flexibility, allowing you to work from home and in office 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Follows and promotes corporate intercompany policy and best practices around related party transactions
- Executes accounting operations inside Oracle and proprietary software environments
- Invoices corporate overhead and transfer pricing adjustments as determined by Tax and Accounting teams
- Prepares account reconciliations to support intercompany positions on a monthly basis including proposing accounting entries to resolve differences in a timely manner
- Partners with Treasury and regional accounting teams to settle and clear subledger transactions
- Supports and executes internal controls and statutory requirements around intercompany balances
- Assists with external audit requests around intercompany balances
- Coordinates accounting matters with peers at a corporate and regional accounting level
- Responds to queries from the network and supports accounting policy to financial operations teams
- Actively participates in team and corporate learning opportunities and initiatives
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with international or intercompany accounting and multiple currencies
- Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud and other cloud-based Oracle solutions or similar ERP platforms
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Accountability to protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
- Comfort working with large datasets
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization
