Position Summary 

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. The Accountant will play a critical role in managing and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy, and assisting in financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality. This is a full-time position, and the Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to small or function - specific projects.
  • Receives regular guidance and check-ins within each project
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Tax Compliance: Support the external tax team to ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns and related documentation.
  • Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and analysis of financial data.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices in financial reporting.
  1. Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate financial information and results to various stakeholders.
  2. Ad-Hoc Tasks: Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.

Minimum requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles, standards, and practices. Bonus if having experience with researching accounting literacy (ASC and internal accounting manuals)
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands associated with this position include sitting at a desk, extensive work in front of a computer, walking throughout the building for meetings, and a temperature controlled environment.

Compensation ($55,000 - $70,000)

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S. based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
