Accountant

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Accountant to join a collaborative and growing team. This position will play a pivotal role in the accounting process by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial records, timely reporting and analysis of financial results, and maintenance of strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and strong financial analysis skills that seeks to improve existing processes as we scale our business.

How you will contribute:

• All areas of corporate accounting and internal reporting including account reconciliations, month end close, internal financial reporting, financial and variance analysis
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (cash, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany, inventory, sales tax) as part of our accounting close process
• Responsible for a month, quarter, and year-end close-related activities, including trend analysis, preparation of flux analysis, ad hoc analyses, and various month-end reports and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial information for external audits and correspond directly with external auditors to provide requested schedules and support.
• Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Prepare weekly payroll and onboard new employees
• Ability to develop, drive, implement and execute process improvements to help streamline the month-end close process
• Assist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing data. Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
• Assist in various other projects as required/needed

Who we are searching for:

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required. CPA or related advanced degree a plus
• Minimum of 4+ years directly related accounting and financial experience. SaaS experience preferred
• Advanced computer skills experience required – Advanced proficiency MS Excel, Xero, Netsuite, Gusto, Bill.com, PowerBI.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Self-starter, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and passionate desire to learn & for continuous improvement
• Team player who can work/interact with various departments and levels on a daily basis, including senior management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, independent judgement and decision making
• Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment
