Accountant

Yext is seeking an Accountant to join its growing and dynamic accounting team! This is a hands-on position with a mix of accounting and operational duties. This role will be responsible for assisting in the day to day transaction processing and accounting, preparing account reconciliations in connection with the process, and performing financial analysis on an as-needed basis.

What You’ll Do

• Participate in various accounting functions to include; preparing reconciliations and roll forwards, account analysis and processing month end journal entries for a variety of G/L accounts
• Assist in reconciliations between subledger and G/L.
• Participate in intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and settlement of balances.
• Support and assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are driven according to GAAP principles
• Design and implement internal controls
• Work with independent auditors to provide support for audited financial documents
• Manipulate and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from various internal systems and the general ledger
• Assist in external financial reporting processes
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to the team when requested

What You Have

• BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years experience in accounting
• Working understanding of GAAP
• Ability to manipulate and manage large amounts of data
• Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately on technical and operational issues
• Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
• Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others informed of status with respect to deadlines
• Excellent written and formal presentation skills
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Bonus Points

• Big 4 public accounting or public/private company corporate accounting experience
• CPA or working towards completing a CPA
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Tableau, or Salesforce

The base salary at the time of hire for this position is expected to be between $55,350 - $101,000. Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits, and successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
