Accountant

About This Role

The Accountant role will assist in accounting activities that ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), corporate policies, and external audits, support the monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports, paying close attention to documentation in support of the financial statements, and the analysis and reconciliation of accounts and with the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls. 
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and close documentation
• Assist with the accuracy and timely transaction processing for fixed assets, leases, debt and other general accounting transactions
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Assist FP&A with trend and account analysis for internal distribution
• Support SOX / corporate internal controls compliance efforts, which includes evaluation, development, implementation, execution, and monitoring of controls and systems
• Assist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing data, and collaborate with internal team and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment
• Strong understanding and proficiency of U.S. GAAP
• Strong Analytical Skills / Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
• Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies
• Excellent oral and written communication ability
• Candidates may be asked to work shifts to align with global assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent certification
• Experience with QAD software
• An eagerness to learn and take on challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment
