Accountant

Kimball Equipment Company, a leader in the aggregate mining and supply industry since 1946, is actively recruiting for the position of senior accountant in our corporate location. Kimball Equipment Company is a successful dealer for brands such as Terex Cedarapids, Terex Finlay, and Superior Industries. We are growing quickly and are looking for someone motivated to grow with us! This position is open to remote workers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the coding of accounts payable, and the monthly closing of accounts payable.
• Assist in performing various monthly bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring amortization of various assets.  
• Capitalize, reconcile, and keep the fixed assets up to date and accurate.
• Record various journal entries as needed.
• Assist with the credit card transition from paper to digital.
• Assist with the streamlining of various accounting duties.
• Assist with monthly closing of the general ledger.
• Assist with gathering, and filing sales tax information, property tax, and corporate filings.
• Assist with various audits as needed.
• Formulate schedules and gather information as needed.
• Use Excel or other reporting tools to analyze, gather, and communicate information.
• Communicate effectively and timely.
• Work with, cooperate with, and be a part of a growing company.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of accounting practices.
• Computer literacy.
• Detail-oriented and analytical.
• Communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to act responsibly and ethically.
• Experience with accounts payable preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Accounting preferred
