Accountant - Associate

We are looking for an Accounting Associate at our Auburn Hills, Ml location! This individual will be responsible for assisting with corporate financial and accounting functions for North America and coordinating with other departments or organizational units.

About the Role

How You Will Contribute:

• Banking - daily postings and reconciliation of multiple currency accounts
• Collections and cash application in SAP
• Posting of Journal entries in SAP
• Running various reports including weekly AR & AP Aging
• Recording intercompany transactions including loans, invoicing, and researching imbalances
• Reconciling payroll accounts
• Complete monthly accounts reconciliations
• Fixed asset creation and documentation
• Participate in the month-end accounting close process
• Supporting external audit requests
• Other duties as assigned

Your Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-3 years' experience performing duties outlined above
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of large ERP system (SAP, Oracle, BPC, HFM) is strongly preferred
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks; strong communication skills, timeliness and accuracy in execution are essential.
