Accountant

As our Accountant, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support primarily our operations team. You will work closely with various departments within the company and manage a wide range accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant laws.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Manage and process payroll.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing of tax documents.
- Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide support to other finance team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with financial reporting and tax preparation.
This is a contract position, with an estimated commitment of 10 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible to accommodate availability.
