Accountant/ Financial Analyst

SiloSmashers Senior Accountant provides support and thought leadership to the Director of Contracts and Finance and CFO in the areas of Finance.

Provides support and oversees the Accounting Assistant.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (i.e., Pivot tables & Core functions).

Responsibilities:

Finance and Accounting

• Create monthly journal entries
• Complete the monthly bank reconciliations
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Analyze monthly financials and prepare the monthly financial packet for review with CFO and CEO
• Assist with managing the budget and forecasting support
• Assist with year-end activities (such as 1099, Accountant requested documentation)
• Assist with processing BPOL Tax
• Assist with company license renewals
• Assist with importing credit card expense for import
• 401k audit support and data analysis: create form for filing
• GSA IFF sales reporting and payment
• Review schedules, transaction postings and analyses as needed to support good internal controls

Provide review and training Accounting Assistant's activities:

• Manage employee time
• Subcontract T&E Management and COI
• Manage the A/P
• Manage New User set up in Unanet
