Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role will report to the Business Controller. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly. This role involves supporting strategic decision-making processes by providing insightful financial analysis and forecasts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes.
- Perform variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budget/forecast.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Support the annual budgeting process, working closely within the team to ensure accurate budget submissions.
- Create and maintain rolling forecasts to provide an up-to-date view of financial performance.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, highlighting potential risks and opportunities to support operational efficiency.
- Strategic Planning
- Support the development of strategic plans and initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis.
- Evaluate business performance and develop recommendations to improve profitability.
- Track cost performance and report on operational efficiencies and inefficiencies.
- Participate in special projects.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure financial operations comply with internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and monitoring.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
