Working under general direction, maintains, prepares or coordinates basic to intermediate reports, projects and/or analysis in accordance with GAAP / IFRS / Statutory principles and documented internal controls.

Financial Accounting and Reporting:

• Prepare a variety of standard, periodic reports or analysis of the general ledger
• Prepare fundamental journal entries to the financial accounting system
• Coordinate financial transactions impacting the ledger with operational areas
• Help prepare financial statements, footnotes and supplemental disclosures
• Provide basic analysis of results
• Respond to basic inquiries / requests from other areas with little or no supervision

Projects:

• Play a support role in projects the team participates in (i.e. gathering information, responding to informational requests, etc.)
• Identify problems and issues and develop solutions
• Ability to work on basic to intermediate projects to build knowledge of company, industry and / or technical knowledge

Internal Control Environment:

• Maintain a good understanding of internal control environment including financial procedures and policies as it relates to individual or team processes
• Identify basic internal control weaknesses and / or assist in developing stronger and more efficient controls

Leadership and Communication:

• Understands and supports the team / division initiatives / goals
• Communicates status of job responsibilities to manager and / or team

What you bring:

• 0-2 years' experience required
• Basic understanding of IFRS / GAAP / Statutory accounting guidance and internal controls
• Good understanding of general ledger/financial reporting
• Good understanding of computer systems including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SAP
• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field
