Accountant I

Overview

Expected pay for this position is $28.44 - $33.46/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Accountant I is responsible for completing accounting for specific functional areas, which includes but is not limited to cash, investments, debt, payroll, accruals, fixed assets, leases, and non-patient billing. Responsible for various tasks such as account reconciliations, monthly close activities, internal and external audit requests, cost report requests, and other projects related to these functional areas.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in finance, accounting (including GAAP), and effective internal controls.
• Demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: 1 year of accounting experience
