Job Description:

Description: The Accountant I performs various accounting activities that facilitate the flow and reporting of financial information.

Typical Duties:

1. Prepares journal entries, with adequate supporting documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
2. Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts in a timely and accurate manner (by the end of the following month, with all reconciling items researched and cleared properly within 60 days after reconciliation date).
3. Responsible for reconciling credit cards for the entire Network. This involves identifying any problems, communicating with appropriate parties, and working towards a solution.
4. Performs variance analysis on actual to budgeted revenue and expense.
5. Responsible for preparing various audit schedules for the internal and external auditors in the preparation of Annual Network Financial Audit.
6. Participates in the General Accounting cross training program.
7. Participates in the annual inventory process.
8. Prepares and maintains written procedures for areas assigned.
9. Maintains good communication with various departments to facilitate accurate and timely preparation of the monthly financial reports.
10. Perform other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited University.
• 0-2 years related work experience.
