Job Description

CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant I. The Accountant I performs routine accounting transactions timely and accurately in accordance with accounting principles, policies, and procedures while complying with internal controls.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sub-system journal entries; reconcile basic general ledger accounts; For example, fixed asset transactions, cash reconciliations, and related clerical tasks.
  • Participate in the month-end sub-ledger close process.
  • Assist with the performance of accounting operations functions including voids, check copies, and other clerical tasks.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits.

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, accounting procedures, and the laws and regulations that apply to accounting and regulatory compliance.
  • Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge in utilizing accounting systems for transaction processing.
  • Analytical with attention to detail, strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Salary Range:

  • $43,600.00 - $68,800.00 annually
  • Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
  • In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.

  • We provide some benefits at no cost to the employee (Basic Life Insurance and AD&D at two times an employee's annual salary, Short- and Long-term Disability coverage, and Employee Assistance Plan).
  • Employees will accrue 0.0769 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour, which may total 20 days a year. In addition, employees will also receive 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
