The Accountants perform general ledger reconciliations, prepare journal entries and accruals, maintain accounting processes, perform analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information, and provide other accounting support as needed.

Note: This position is a hybrid role & requires working onsite 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares general ledger reconciliations and ensures outstanding items are cleared timely
• Prepares journal entries and accruals
• Executes financial controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar's reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Accounts Receivable (Client Billing)

• Reconciles monthly cash receipts on client receivables and other general ledger accounts to ensure outstanding items are cleared timely
• Prepares and/or reviews billing files for monthly client invoices
• Updates client pricing tables for new clients, amendments, or statements of work
• Updates client pricing tables for annual inflation index
• Reviews monthly client invoices for completeness and accuracy
• Works with technology on automating and modifying billing logic in the interface between loan sub-ledger and the billing system
• Liaises with Client Management on client billing questions or issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required (Accounting or Finance a plus)
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a mortgage banking/servicing or banking industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas in order to manipulate large amounts of data
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
