Accountant II

Job Profile Summary

The GL Accountant will be responsible for the accounting support functions of certain international offices including US LATAM and India. This person will be working with various departments within our business to help establish and maintain the accounts payable and payroll processing and perform certain month-end close and other accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

·        General Ledger

·        Perform month end close activities

·        Preparation of journal entries

·        Validation of intercompany eliminations

·        Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations

·        Assist International Controller with external auditor requests

·        Responsible for adhering to company finance accounting and security policies and procedures as directed

·        Accounts Payable:

o   Facilitate the approval process for new Vendor contracts and set-ups

o    Facilitate vendor inquires and relationships

o    Receive Code and Enter Invoices into ERP system and route for approval

o   Assist with vendor payments

o    Assist with movement of cash between bank accounts and international entities as directed by Treasurer or International Controller

·        Payroll Processing:

o   Expense report processing Facilitate and validate that expenses are within the RAX policy and obtain all required receipts and approvals

o   Submit information to payroll provider

o   Monthly payroll processing

o    Provide payroll services provider with all required information regarding

o   New Hires

o   Terminations

o   Salary changes

o   Bonus payout

o   Commissions payout

o   Perform secondary review of monthly pay file

Knowledge

·        Relevant experience in industry accounting or accounting operations (AR AP Payroll)

·        Exposure to large ERP systems (SAP Oracle Navision etc)

·        High level of attention to detail and accuracy

·        High level of organization to ensure deadlines are met for all accounting supporting functions awareness of documentation procedures and preservation of source documents
