Accountant (On-Site)

We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as an Accountant on the Customer Service Team!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general direction, responsible for moderately complex accounting activities, including but not limited to the maintenance of a complete accurate general ledger, account reconciliation, expenditure review, inventory audit, month-end closing, the resultant managerial reports, and financial statements.

This is an On-Site position located in Huntsville, Alabama

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate month-end closing process within accounting team by completing all designated item through Business Process Management System (BPMS)
• Provide guidelines and support to each department to ensure all accounting transactions are properly booked and reported in a timely manner
• Review expense vouchers and backups to check compliance with company policies
• Initiate and implement improvements in the month-end closing processes to reduce time and increase efficiencies
• Planning and coordinating bi-annual and quarterly audit of physical inventory and report findings to management and company headquarters
• Participate in monthly inventory management by completing parts aging reports, confirmation of write-off requests, and financial statement reconciliation of inventory assets in order to reduce company risk
• Prepare, review, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to access accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Prepare material for outside audit to include accounting reports, system change and/or update information, and accounting policy update information as well responding to issues and requests during the course of the audit
• Backup for AR cash applications, new customer setup and customer info updates incl credit line
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Minimum two years of experience in accounting practices preferred but not required
• Bilingual in Korean and English
• Thorough understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and statutory accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel
• Experience with Oracle based accounting system preferred
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work in a deadline driven environment
