Accountant (Technical Accounting)

SUMMARY:

This position will support various Corporate Accounting activities including but not limited to Consolidations Accounting, Enablement Finance, and External Financial Reporting. Specific duties include preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reports as well as assisting with Corporate Accounting special projects. This position also assists with other weekly and monthly accounting close tasks as necessary. This position provides an opportunity to learn about Tyson from various aspects of Corporate Accounting.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related to this job (Accounting or Finance degree preferred).

Experience: No experience required.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word; and working knowledge of SAP preferred.

Communication Skills: Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Special Skills: Certified Public Accountant eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred but not required. Strong analytical skills, time management skills, and ability to work well with Team Members of all levels.

Supervisory: None.

Travel: Minimal.
