Job Description

Ideal candidate will be located in the Greater Columbus area! Looking for candidates who are open to working at least 1 day a week in the Dublin, OH office and the other days remotely.

The Advisor of Medical Intercompany project will support day-to-day management to the project, which seeks mitigate risk of specific high risk intercompany lanes, simplify intercompany profit eliminations, create better oversight on aged in-transit, and lead enhancements within IT and applications to support the overall transaction cycle. This role will report to the Manager of the Medical Intercompany project to transform the current business process and implement technological solutions that support the project goals. This role will engage cross-functionally with leaders and individuals from Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Accounting, Financial Systems, IT and Audit.

Experiences and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Experience designing new processes, systems and controls.
  • Problem-solving, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills with ability to positively influence stakeholders
  • Adept at getting things done, performing amidst ambiguous situations and working through dynamic/changing business requirements
  • Have a passion for transformation, proven track record and desire to continue to grow and develop
  • CPA preferred
  • SAP experience

What Accounting Contributes to Cardinal Health

Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key person in the Accounting function for the Medical Intercompany project, charged with executing on project plans to redesign business processes and implement recommendations for cross-functional changes that pursue the goal of enhanced visibility and matching within various intercompany processes.
  • Responsible for building, developing, and maintaining highly collaborative and effective working relationships with key business partners from Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Accounting, Financial Systems, IT and Audit to facilitate proactive planning, smooth communication, and issue resolution, including adapting as needed for technical or non-technical audiences.
  • Recommending and operationalizing accounting process redesign initiatives related to in-transit inventory, global profit elimination, and other intercompany related processes.
  • Execute problem solving and root-cause analysis to readily diagnose design flaws or system deficiencies and configure effective solutions by gathering consensus to recommendations.
  • Participate in business requirement design sessions with financial systems IT teams to obtain cost estimates for any internal IT enhancements required.
  • Support overall project management by maintaining action items list and supporting regular and timely follow-ups, as appropriate.
  • Provide critical support in collaboration meetings, including preparatory support, active engagement in session, and performing follow up actions, as appropriate.
