Accounting Analyst

Position Summary:

The Accounting Analyst provides accounting support and performs a variety of tasks. He/she performs a variety of work utilizing judgment within prescribed standards and procedures and will work with a team of Accountants within Agency Bill.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Processes payments through various websites and BRP bank accounts.

• Completion of ad hoc requests.

• Assist with vendor payable research projects.

• Reviews accounts for vendor payable discrepancies and reconciles differences.

• Exhibits ownership over assigned tasks.

• Ability to research and troubleshoot.

• Team player

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

• Some advanced coursework in Accounting or 0 to 2 years of Accounting experience

• General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Experience in Insurance accounting is preferred, but not required.

• Excellent computer skills in database management and record keeping.

• Moderate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Must possess excellent organizational skills.

• Exhibits professional skepticism.

• Must demonstrate the organization’s core values, exuding behavior aligned with the firm’s culture.

• Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

• Must be able to interact effectively with various levels of colleagues both inside and outside the accounting organization.
