Corporate Markets has an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our financial operations team. The team is visible and collaborates with many functional areas of the organization. This individual will be critical in transformation efforts and drive process improvements in areas such as, but not limited to, accounting systems and workflows ensuring ledger accuracy.

About the Role

The scope of this role is diverse, from ad-hoc analysis to developing and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards to support data driven decision making. The role is responsible for developing documentation and cataloging the various accounting processes supporting management reporting in this line of business. The successful candidate will have an accounting background and the ability to dig into financials. Other responsibilities include providing support for sales and Inforce management, assisting in the production of periodic management reports, and maintaining HNW database.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting and finance work required. Work experience with a "Big4" or other internationally recognized CPA firm a +.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Reviewing and preparing analysis of financial reporting.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving accounting and reporting issues.
  • Assistance with the development of accounting policies and procedures and internal control issues.
  • Assistance with the annual budget process, estimates and variance reporting.
  • Experience in various aspects of the life insurance accounting processes, including policy administration, addressing legal/compliance/system issues, and review of contracts, is also preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Advanced Excel skills. Proficiency in Power BI a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP (BPC, LRP(FCSD/FPSL), Webi) is helpful
