The Accounting Analyst prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers. Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions. The Accounting Analyst will also assist with preparation of financial analyses, ad-hoc projects, and preparing financial statements with supporting schedules for the guidance of management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable and warranty claims.
- Creates and submits invoices and credit memos to customers.
- Maintains and updates customer files.
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
- Reconciles accounts receivable.
- Assists Controller in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2-5 years previous experience in accounting or finance role
- Intermediate Excel skills
- CPA preferred
- Epicor experience preferred
- Ability to manipulate data and create dashboards
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Customer service skills
