ABOUT THIS POSITION

The role of the Accounting Analyst is to manage, calculate and analyze customer billings and revenue. In this role the team member would be involved in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes including but not limited to manual journal entry preparation and account reconciliations and analysis. The team member will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate recordation of revenue and invoicing as well as related accruals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage and review invoicing and billing schedules
  • Review Customer agreements and addendums
  • Assist in revenue management and accruals
  • Utilize excel to perform complex calculations
  • Assist in AR process optimization efforts
  • Assist in customer communication related to invoicing

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences - Accounting or Business with an Accounting emphasis preferred
  • 3+ years of applicable accounting experience
  • Advanced skills in Excel required
  • Must be able to interact with C-Level employees
  • Must be organized and self-motivated to follow instructions with minimal direction
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of NetSuite software a plus
  • Knowledge of Salesforce software a plus

The Finance, Accounting + Pricing teams at Waystar manage, track, and analyze all financial activity across the company. From billing and budgeting to pricing and reporting, the department drives the fiscal stability of Waystar and fosters future growth. Team members play a crucial role in invoicing and collecting from customers, determining product pricing, forecasting, modeling, and planning financial outcomes, including potential mergers and acquisitions. The Finance, Accounting + Pricing department utilizes Netsuite, Coupa and Microsoft Power BI for financial reporting, AP and AR management, budgeting, and custom reporting.
