Purpose:

The Omni-Channel Accounting Analyst’s core responsibility is to ensure the integrity of the financial statements as it relates to the Omni-Channel team. This role supports the retail and eCommerce segments of the business and will collaborate cross functionally with them and the FP&A team. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for providing monthly reporting and analysis to all levels of leadership. This role will be instrumental in improving accounting practices at DFC. We are seeking someone who values business partnership, is hungry to learn, and isn’t afraid of using data to influence positive change. Responsibilities:

  • You will be accountable for all month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations related to the Omni-Channel sales activity. This includes accounting for promotions, partnership advertising, volume, and other rebates.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to ensure all Omni-Channel accounting activity is in compliance with GAAP and Masco accounting policies. Update accounting narratives on a quarterly basis.
  • Work cross functionally with FP&A, Omni-Channel, and other segments of the business. You will educate business partners regarding accounting impact to forecasts, planned activity, and budget
  • Review contracts, providing accounting treatment to Contract Administration, FP&A, and other cross functional stakeholders
  • Provide deduction support to the credit department
  • There are opportunities for you to be a change agent by completing ad hoc analysis and further developing accounting processes and procedures
     

Education & Experience:

  • You should possess a B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting from a 4-year college or university
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience (preferably in a prior corporate accounting role or CPA firm)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and ASC 606
  • Individual should be able to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent analytical and leadership characteristics
  • Ambitious and proactive in finding answers and recommending solutions (Be a change agent)
  • Possess the ability to handle and communicate problems/solutions
  • Above average aptitude in Excel and flexibility to incorporate change will help you complete your tasks. You should also exhibit a high degree of professional judgment, characterized by sound independent discernment, initiative, and a high standard of ethics.
