Role Summary

Under general supervision, performs a broad range of moderately complex accounting functions. Analyzes and verifies internal consistency, completeness, and arithmetic accuracy of account documents; makes adjustments. Posts entries to the general ledger. Assigns transaction codes to invoices, incoming checks and wires. Assures invoices and deposits being processed are included in the appropriate accounting period. Posts, balances, and closes subsidiary ledgers. Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and an understanding of bookkeeping accounting principles but not requiring the skills of a fully trained accountant. Works with matrix partners.

Responsibilities
  • Reconcile and audit daily payments and deposits from numerous locations and various systems of record; including closeouts from cash registers, credit card terminals, and cash/check payments posted in the EHR.
  • Process change orders and track incoming deposits from numerous locations. Follow up on issues with change orders and deposit paperwork not received timely.
  • Reconcile monthly credit card transactions for all locations, research and resolve posting issues.
  • Enter and research accounts payable invoices and summary statements.
  • Sort, identify and record incoming checks, lockbox deposits and wires.
  • Manage data and process auto-payments for monthly ACH and credit card payments.
  • Manage and reconcile deposits in transit, change orders and bank account downloads.
  • Research coding questions, deposits, credit card disputes, vendor inquiries, and miscellaneous requests from internal business partners.
  • Miscellaneous Clerical Tasks or Special Projects

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with accounting college coursework highly desirable
  • 1+ year of accounting, auditing or related experience preferred
  • Internal controls and/or banking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and cash reconciliation preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of 10-key, Excel, Word, and Outlook required; Access experience desired
  • Knowledge of Oracle, cash systems, and Epic desired
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
