The Program Administrator Accounting Team of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Accounting Analyst II to join our Warren, NJ office.

We will be working with premiums written and received from third parties, called Program Administrators, on behalf of Everest. We must ensure that premium reported is complete and accurate, payments are received and booked properly, and timely for each business segment. We will be reviewing outstanding balances, variances in premium written, and reconciling entries in our subledger.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensure monthly premium bordereaux are received, reviewed, and reconciled on a timely basis to the general ledger and are consistent and comply with the Program Administrator agreements.
  • Ensure monthly account currents are received timely and that related cash is received, recorded, and applied against open accounts receivable, and any open receivables are collected or resolved with the Program Administrator. Perform the quarterly non-admitted receivable analysis.
  • Reconcile the agency deposit suspense accounts monthly. Clear transactions and follow-up on the status of aged items.
  • Review daily cash report, reconcile, and prepare intercompany transfers.
  • Generate the monthly NCCI payments. Prepare vouchers for payment and distribute.
  • Prepare journal entries using the Oracle Ledger system.
  • Review daily cash receipts and apply to premiums in WINS.
  • Preparation of documents to demonstrate compliance with SOX key controls.
  • Review and book our Intercompany transfers monthly.
  • Provide excellent service to all internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • The successful candidate should have a BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, or business - related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Advanced Excel Skills (i.e., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
  • Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and improving Microsoft Excel worksheets to efficiently handle large amounts of data.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and technical skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and be able to multitask in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with co-workers, management, and internal/external customers.
