Position Overview

The Accounting Analyst will work with the Region Controller to ensure that the financial statements accurately represent the activity and financial conditions within the region which consists of 38 branches located in 7 states and Puerto Rico.

This position will ensure that revenues and expenses are captured accurately in the period in which they occur. Reviewing billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll transactions for accuracy and completeness will be an integral part of the responsibilities for this position. The successful candidate must be able to reconcile General Ledger accounts and complete month-end journal entries in an accurate and timely. This position will have an integral role in closing the month and ensuring that revenue is properly reconciled, accruals for revenue, wages and other expenses are accurate and that all statistical data is timely and accurate.

The Accounting Analyst will have a key role in assisting branch managers and other members of the management team to understand and analyze the financial and operating condition of the branch. The Accounting Analyst will be an integral part of shaping branch budgets and projections for current and future months.

Education/Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
  • A minimum of two years accounting experience in a corporate environment to include General Ledger account analysis and reconciliation and understanding of income and balance sheet statements.
  • Prior experience with financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting in a service industry is preferred.
  • Computer skills to include proficiency in "advanced" Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise financial systems such as Oracle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a good customer service attitude
  • Occasional travel.
