We are currently searching for an Accounting Assistant to join our team to support our Charter School Practice.  The Accounting Assistant performs duties for clients including, but not limited to:

Essential Functions

Invoicing

·         Collect and Input All Invoices for Department

·         Process Vendor Credits

·         Reconcile Vendor Accounts

·         Vendor Statement Reviews

·         Client Contact for All Accounts Payables Questions

·         Process Monthly, Semi-Monthly and Weekly Check Runs

·         Reconcile Expense Reimbursements

·         Maintain Cash Flow Worksheets for Daily Cash Management

·         Process Ad-Hoc Manual Checks by Request

Vendor Maintenance

·         Keep Accurate Records of Sales Tax Exempt Certificates

·         Maintain Vendor W9 Files

·         Collect and Retain Vendor Contracts 

·         Maintain Insurance Policies Declarations and Renewals

Audits

·         Process Annual 1099s

·         Aid in Audit Requests

·         Proper Management of Cancelled Checks

·         Collect and Review Board Resolutions for Out of Budget Expenditures

ADHOC

·         Perform all Public Records Requests

·         Track and Pay Board Stipends for Meeting Attendance

·         Monthly Credit Card Reconciliations

·         Prepare Semi-Annual Budgets, as requested

·         Prepare Financial Statements, as requested

Education & Experience Required

·         3+ Years of Relative Work Experience or Education

·         Knowledge of Accounting and Bookkeeping Best Practices

·         Knowledge of Quickbooks and Bill.com preferred

·         Must be Able to Effectively Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously in a Deadline Driven Environment

·         Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team to Achieve the Goals of the Organization

·         Ability to Analyze Processes and Recommend Efficiencies to Implement.

·         Computer Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Specifically Excel

·         Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
