Job Description
- This highly visible role works with the Assistant Controller and Chief Financial Officer on the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Assists with the preparation of the monthly US GAAP financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements) and reporting package
- Maintains General Ledger and prepares account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Reconciles cash receipts and disbursements. Manages accounts receivable and payable process.
- Assists auditors. Provides necessary account information and documentation to perform annual audit.
- Files necessary tax and business license forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
- Assists with special projects and system automation for financial and operational efficiency
- Compiles and analyzes large data sets and summaries results from various systems of record. Strong Excel skills are necessary.
- Team player. Enjoys interacting with other departments within the organization and learning more about cybersecurity.
Requirements
Accounting degree (CPA candidate preferred)
1-3+ years' experience in accounting
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to US GAAP
Excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail
Prefers Advanced Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivot tables, Macros) and QuickBooks experience
