This Accounting Associate I position is responsible for carrying out many of the organization’s accounting functions in Accounts Receivable, Job Costing, Pcard transactions, Payroll, General Ledger, Cash, Collections, Lien Waivers and accounting administration.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily outbound calls on past due receivable accountsÂ
-
Reconcile customer accounts related to AIA, custom and service billing
-
Custom accounting software billing / Construction conditional and unconditional waiver and releases as neededÂ
-
Process customer credit card and ACH paymentsÂ
-
Prepare and reconcile all required client and supplier / vendor waiver releases
-
Answer all customer inquiries regarding custom and service billing
-
Assist in month-end closing activities, such as journal entries and reconciliations
-
Construction job costing, project closing, reconciliations and reporting as neededÂ
-
Process and reconcile company PCard transactions
-
Interacts daily with customers, Account Executives, employees in the office as well as employees in the field to provide ongoing administrative supportÂ
-
Other accounting and clerical duties as requiredÂ

Required Skills:
-
High School diploma or GED required—additional training or coursework desirable
-
4+ years Accounting or Clerical experienceÂ
-
2+ minimum years of Construction AccountingÂ
-
Billing, Accounts Receivable, PR Entry and Collections PreferredÂ
-
Reconciliation of general ledger expense and balance sheet accounts
-
Experience with online invoicing web portals
-
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone, and in writing
-
Quick learner and resourceful in navigating customer websites
-
Must be reliable and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a teamÂ
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Knowledge of accounting, data, and administration of General Acceptance Accounting Procedures (GAAP)
-
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge
-
Proven communication and customer service skills
-
Self-starter who works well under pressure

Must possess an excellent attention to detail

Ability to maintain confidentialityÂ
