Job Description
Axia by Qcells provides solar battery storage EV chargers and energy services to homeowners who are looking to reduce their reliance on the power grid and upgrade their home energy. Axia is a full-service solar solution provider and is the direct-to-consumer division of solar panel manufacturer Qcells. We support solar sales consultation customer system design financing installation and warranty resolution for the ongoing customer relationship. Our goal is to deliver exceptional value through a seamless and superior solar journey guided by the principles of transparency reliability and sustainability – creating a better way to go solar.
The Accounting Associate will be responsible for providing support to the Accounting Manager with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions assisting with month end close compiling data for and entry of journal entries basic reconciliation of assigned accounts.
This position reports to the Accounting Manager or another senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is located in Irvine CA and working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. For the right candidate remote work may be approved. This position is expected to travel up to 20%.
Responsibilities

Maintain AR aging and follow up with customers on any past due invoices.

Reconcile cash collections with related invoices.

Communicate issues proactively with relevant parties.

Act as a main contact point with collection agencies.

Build and maintain company policies and procedures related to collections.

Suggest process improvements credit management methods.

Support audit requests relating to accounts receivable.

Act as a backup for Accounts Payable and Treasury functions.

Prepared bank deposits and processed all incoming payments.

Managed accounts to ensure timely and accurate processing of daily invoices to the appropriate G/LÂ Â account.

Updated commission master reports monthly to ensure accurate commissions are being paid

Weekly and monthly internal audit for any missed invoices/payments from vendors and customers

Reviewed and processed employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card expenses

Completed bank reconciliations on a monthly basis

Provided support for weekly monthly and yearly financial reports

Followed up with customers and vendors by provided weekly AR Aging and AP Aging reports
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Accounting Business or related field

5+ years of accounts receivable and accounts payable experience

Knowledge of the end-to-end accounts receivable process

Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills

Solid organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint

Experience with NetSuite/SAP or other ERP software
