NOTE: This role is required to be onsite at our GuideWell Corporate office (4800 Deerwood Campus Parkway, Jacksonville, FL) Monday - Friday with a standard core business work hour schedule.

Job Purpose
This Accounting Associate II role resides in Corporate Finance Payables and is responsible for accounting related functions for medical and trade payables. Additionally, this hands-on role will handle daily operational incoming and outgoing mail, and inquiries. This team member interacts with banks, providers, and subsidiaries on banking activities, unclaimed and returned checks generated from claims and accounts payable systems.

This Accounting Associate II role provides administrative, technical or support functions to a team, department of business unit and is focused on servicing internal customers or supporting units that service providers or external customers.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
  • Researchers and identifies errors/variances for corrections to journal entries to ensure balance of system interfaces.
  • Analyzes assigned general ledger account activity to report variances and may resolve fewer complex issues.
  • May input journal entries to specific accounts including set-up of new recurring and/or standard entries and modifications to existing journal entries.
  • May perform reconciliations and analysis of basic general ledger accounts in wish activity is routine and low volume.
  • May generate appropriate general ledger reports and/or queries.
What You Must Have:

2+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education to include related experience in a corporate fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or GED

What We Would Prefer:

Experience working with a multi-system claims processing system such as Diamond and Oracle PeopleSoft.

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
