Accounting Intern

This internship will focus primarily on providing support to our finance team, mainly focusing on assisting with posting journal entries, bank statement reconciliation, annual audits, and other ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis. It is an ongoing internship, that will begin immediately and continue throughout the year. We are looking for a commitment of at least 25 hours per week both over the summer and during the school year. The intern would be reporting to the Finance team and would be supporting them in whichever tasks needed to be completed.

What You’ll Do:

• Banks reconciliation for our US and international entities.
• Assists in month-end closing.
• Prepares accounting adjustments.
• Updates schedules to control/monitor G/L movement.
• Assists with accounts payable tasks such as processing invoices, setting up vendors, and preparing A/P reports.
• Assists with issuing tax notices (1099’s) to advisors as required.
• Performs ad-hoc accounting tasks on an as-needed basis.

What You Have:

• Must be enrolled in a college or university in New York
• Minimum GPA 3.5
• Undergraduate Accounting majors
• Students entering their junior or senior year of college highly preferred
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

The base pay for this position is $25.00 per hour.
