Job Description
Fall Accounting Internship Opportunity
(this is not a remote position)
Under close supervision, the Intern will develop technical skills and learn operational procedures and business practices. You will have the opportunity to work within a functional area to receive experience related to a degreed educational program.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly financial statements for insurance subsidiaries.
- Prepare daily and/or monthly closing journal entries.
- Compile supporting documentation to support auditor requests.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
- Complete daily system interface balancing.
- Assist with data submission to various state agencies and other interested parties.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills required. In addition, the incumbent must be organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently.
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a four-year degree program and may be receiving credits for internship towards graduation requirements.
- Requires a desire to enter in the Accounting field, demonstrated by enrollment in an applicable degree program.
- Must be able to work an average of 30 hours per week.
