Accounting Intern Hybrid

The Accounting Intern will be an integral member of the

Corporate Controller team with a focus on learning key challenges that face accounting

professionals today in the areas of corporate accounting and business unit accounting. The

Accounting Intern will help maintain accurate financial information by analyzing accounting data,

maintaining strong accounting records, and partnering with business and functional areas, as

requested.

Key Areas of Responsibility• Execute assigned intern project to maintain a robust chart of accounts, including refining

definitions, developing a user guide and training materials, and determining impact on

current business unit mapping.• Shadow the month-end close process, including posting certain month-end journal entries,

and preparing monthly financial deliverables in accordance with policies for assigned business

units.• Support continuous improvement opportunities.• Support accounting projects and processes within the department. • Support quarterly/interim external audit process, including gathering control support and

monitoring requests and deliverables.• Other projects/tasks as assigned.

Critical Competencies• Possess a high-energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous

to meet deadlines.• Fundamental knowledge of US GAAP and accounting practices.• Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Suite tools.• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and the ability to work well in a team.• Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to learn and use multiple systems and applications.• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills

Internship Dates: June 5th- July 28th

Hourly Rate: $25/hr
