Accounting Manager
Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing a wide range of accounting duties, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for both US and foreign entities.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and foreign equivalent.• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for significant fluctuations.• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and recommendations.• Assist in the coordination of external audits and provide necessary documentation and support.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and engineering, to support business.• Initiatives and achieve organizational goals.• Continuously evaluate and enhance account processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.• Experience with an Integrated ERP system.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels and
departments.• Sincere dedication to the best interests of the Company, its customers, and employees.• Concern for quality, accuracy, and safety and ability to foster those traits among employees.• Willingness and ability to champion and enforce accounting procedures and company policies.• Attention to detail.• Ability to work well with others, including subordinates, peers, executive management and outside vendors, representatives
and visitors.• Ability to exhibit composure, patience, and confidence when facing difficult situations.• Self-starter with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities.• Ability to effectively manage projects, including planning, prioritize and execution to completion.• High integrity and trustworthy with confidential information.
TECHNICAL/FUNCTION SPECIFIC:• Understanding of foreign currency exchange concepts, foreign taxes and accounting practices.• Knowledge of accounting best practices and applicable federal, state and local laws and tax codes.• Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company accounting software, ERP system, Payroll system,
FAS Fixed Asset system, Microsoft Windows and Office.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• Physical ability to meet the travel requirements of the position.• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, up to eight hours per day, though possibly more.• Sufficient manual dexterity to successfully use a computer.• Sometimes required to stand and/or walk, up to several hours a day, and make occasional trips from the office area to the
manufacturing area.• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
