Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will be a contributor of key financial accounting and reporting, ensuring the integrity of accounting/financial processes and periodic financial and management reporting and analysis. The professional in this role will work closely with our Finance & Accounting team to support Billing, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day accounting function for the company
• Support various audit, helping create documentation and implementing controls
• Work with outside accounting firms to ensure timely completion of the annual audited financial statements and tax returns
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP by establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, and controls
• Track and manage compliance with federal, state and local tax and legal requirements
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations; lead month- and year-end closing processes
• Manage the AP/AR process; partner with internal departments to ensure their needs are addressed and invoices processed on time
• Provide forward-thinking leadership related to Finance / Accounting technology stack, including continuous improvement of existing solutions and implementation of new technologies
• Assist with payroll and day-to-day banking
• Help build and grow accounting team
• Calculate commissions payments 

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to handle financial planning, SaaS metrics, ROI, AAR metrics and other various projects on an ad-hoc basis
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, meet productivity standards and use time efficiently.

Professional Experience Required

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or experience leading corporate accounting function
• Experience with SaaS companies and relevant accounting issues preferred
• Ability to identify and prioritize tasks and ask questions
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong communication skills
• Intellectual curiosity
